William Shatner - the man who knows
A long time ago, in a science fiction bookshop called "Forever People" which used to be on Park Street in Bristol, I came across a book by William Shatner, one of Shatner's "Tek" series of science fiction books. On the front cover was a legend which said "by William Shatner - the man who knows" - implying that starring as Captain Kirk had given Shatner some special knowledge about extraterrestrial life.
Come the era of internet search, I hoped to confirm my memories of Shatner's hilarious byline, but I've been unable to locate even a hint about it. I'm putting this page up in the hope of finding someone else who remembers this book cover, and possibly ends up at this page via an internet search.
If you have a copy of Shatner's book with the "Man Who Knows" claim on the cover, I'd be very glad to hear from you. My email address is at the bottom of this page.

Look At His Butt!
Some other people have taken up the cause. Unfortunately "The Man Who Knows" wasn't actually the title of the book but the author's byline.

Google Streetview link to where Forever People used to be
The shop is no longer there, and it had long since closed down by the late 1990s. According to Wikipedia, the first of Shatner's TekWar books was published in 1989.

Google Image search for the book cover
I can't find a shred of evidence anywhere that "The Man who Knows" was the byline of this book, so "The Man who Knows" might just have been stuck on the book by the staff of the bookshop, or it might have been on the book pedestal.
